About Dharamsala, Mcleodganj, Bhagsu & Dharamkot

We used to function here permanently 20 years from 2000 through 2020 at Mcleodganj. We moved at Dharamkot to be more closer to nature and quieter surroundings. Dharamsala is situated in the Northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It lies on a spur of the Dhauladhar range in the Pir Panjal region of the Outer Himalayas; and commands majestic views of the mighty Dhauladhar ranges above, and the Kangra Valley below. Dhauladhar means “white ridge” and this breathtaking, snow-capped range rises out of the Kangra Valley to a height of 5,200 meters (17,000 feet).The Kangra Valley is a wide, fertile plain, crisscrossed by low hills.

Dharmsala is a hill station situated 17 kms north-east of Kangra Town. This place is covered with oak and conifer trees. The snow capped mountains embraced this land from three sides. The spread valley in front of the town gives the heavenly look. The snowline is perhaps more easily accessible at Dharamshala compare to other hill resort and it is possible to make a day’s trek to a snow-point start with the morning early moments.
